Women's Dawner Jacket

This is an insulated jacket designed around movement and packability rather than maximum warmth. The fill is Octa, a structured insulation laid out in a diamond grid that traps heat while leaving channels for moisture to escape. That pattern also means less bulk across the shoulders and arms, so the jacket compresses small enough to stash in its own hand pocket when you shed it mid-hike.

The shell is a stretch nylon treated with a PFAS-free water repellent. It sheds drizzle and early-morning dew but isn't a rain layer. The stretch fabric follows your reach without binding, whether you're scrambling over boulders or just pulling groceries from the trunk.

Because the insulation is lightweight and breathable, this works best as a shoulder-season piece or an active-day layer. It's the jacket you bring when you'll be moving enough to generate heat but still need something between you and cold air. The soft hand of the Octa fill means you can wear it next to skin without a base layer if the day starts warm and drops fast.

The zippered hand pockets double as warmers. When you're done wearing it, the right pocket reverses into a stuff sack that swallows the entire jacket. That makes it easy to tie to a pack strap or toss in a daypack without dedicating a whole compartment to outerwear. The DWR coating keeps light moisture from soaking through, but this isn't built to handle sustained rain or wet snow.
