Stio

Stio was founded in 2011 by Stephen Sullivan and has been based in Jackson, Wyoming, ever since. The team designs and develops its technical apparel in the Tetons, drawing on the demands of the mountain environment around them. Every piece is created with input from athletes and adventurers who actually use the gear in conditions ranging from deep-powder skiing to alpine overnight trips.

The whitebark pine, which grows at high elevations throughout western ranges including the Tetons, inspired the brand's pinecone logo. That tree's ability to thrive in harsh conditions reflects the approach Stio takes to building apparel: functional, persistent, and suited to the landscape. The brand partners with conservation organizations working to protect the outdoor spaces where mountain athletes spend their time.
