Why it's on GiftsFeed
Six organic cotton handkerchiefs with a pocket case that keeps clean and used apart
Carrying a handkerchief sounds simple until you use it once and have to decide where the damp, germy thing goes. The usual move—back into the same pocket—is what stopped most people from bothering. This solves it with a physical divider that makes the system automatic: clean on the left, used on the right, and the case keeps them apart without requiring a decision. It turns a reusable into something you can actually use in public, in a car, with a child, or anywhere a disposable would have made sense. The two-sided design is what makes the difference between a good idea and a system that actually works.
Good gift when
- People trying to reduce disposable waste without adding complexity
- Parents managing runny noses on the go
- Anyone with allergies who goes through tissues daily
- Minimalists who want function that fits in a pocket
Skip it if You need something for heavy-duty messes or prefer the convenience of throwing things away rather than washing them regularly

The maker
Designed in Copenhagen and launched through a crowdfunding campaign that attracted more than 13,500 backers, this set was developed by LastObject as part of their line of reusable personal-care alternatives. The brand focuses on replacing single-use items with durable systems that work in everyday situations—on the go, with children, or in a bag. The two-compartment case design was the key innovation: instead of asking people to figure out where a used tissue should go, the system makes hygiene automatic with a physical divider. GOTS certification ensures the cotton meets strict environmental and social standards from farm to finished product, covering everything from pesticide use to fair labor practices.
The details
This set pairs six organic cotton handkerchiefs with a silicone case that solves the oldest problem with reusables: what to do with the dirty one. The case is split down the middle by a permanent divider. Clean handkerchiefs sit on one side, used ones go back into the other, and the two never touch. The divider stays put, the compartments stay separate, and hygiene happens without thought.
The case closes with a snap and slips into a pocket or bag at about the same size as a disposable tissue pack. The six handkerchiefs are cut from GOTS-certified organic cotton, grown without synthetic pesticides and processed without harmful dyes. Each one survives more than two hundred wash cycles at temperatures up to 60°C, so you can throw them in with towels and sheets. After washing, fold and reload the clean side.
The silicone case is dishwasher-safe and free of BPA. It holds six handkerchiefs, enough for several days of normal use between washes. At end of life, the cotton is home compostable. Packaging arrives in FSC-certified cardboard. Over its working life, one set replaces more than three thousand disposable tissues.

Questions
- How do you clean the handkerchiefs?
- Machine wash them with your regular laundry at temperatures up to 60°C. Each handkerchief is rated for more than 200 wash cycles. After washing, fold and reload them into the clean side of the case.
- Does the case keep the used tissues sealed so nothing leaks?
- The case closes with a snap and keeps the two compartments separated by a permanent divider. The used side holds damp tissues without them touching the clean ones, but the case is not waterproof or airtight.
- How many times can you use this before washing?
- The set includes six handkerchiefs, so you can use it for several days depending on your needs. When all six are in the used compartment, it's time to wash and reload.
- Is this safe for sensitive skin or allergies?
- The handkerchiefs are made from GOTS-certified organic cotton, which is grown without synthetic pesticides and processed without harmful dyes or finishes. The silicone case is BPA-free. Both materials are generally well-tolerated, but individual sensitivities vary.
- Can you wash the case too?
- Yes, the silicone case is dishwasher-safe. You can also rinse or wipe it by hand as needed.
