Alabax Medium Flush Mount

The Alabax takes its form from utilitarian fixtures that appeared in mid-century industrial catalogs—simple tulip shapes designed for function rather than ornament. This flush mount translates that spare geometry into a ceiling fixture that works equally well in a hallway, bedroom, or kitchen.

Each piece is cast in ceramic, then hand-trimmed and glazed in one of six tones. The palette runs from classic black and white through warmer Auburn and Chamomile to deeper Juniper and Navy. Because every fixture is glazed by hand, subtle variations in color and finish are part of the process.

The tulip profile keeps the fixture close to the ceiling while directing light downward and slightly outward. That makes it a practical choice for rooms with lower ceilings or spaces where a pendant would hang too low. The ceramic shell diffuses the bulb while the glaze adds texture and depth that shift with the light throughout the day.
