This field watch runs on light instead of batteries. A solar cell beneath the dial converts natural or artificial light into power, storing enough charge to keep running for four months even in complete darkness. The movement is a quartz mechanism that uses photovoltaic energy instead of disposable cells, so accuracy stays consistent without the need for battery replacements.
The case is machined from grade 2 titanium, a material lighter than steel but more resistant to corrosion and scratches. At 38mm wide and 11mm thick, the proportions suit smaller wrists and slide easily under a cuff. The entire dial surface is coated in Swiss Super-LumiNova, so legibility in low light is immediate and long-lasting rather than limited to the hands and hour markers.
A sapphire crystal covers the face. Sapphire ranks just below diamond in hardness, so it resists scratches from keys, tools, and abrasive surfaces that would mark mineral glass. The crystal is flat with beveled edges, and beneath it sits a beveled chapter ring that adds depth to the dial layout.
The rotating bezel is marked for timing intervals. Water resistance is rated to 100 meters, sufficient for swimming and showering but not suitable for diving. The case back is secured with screws, and the crown is a standard pull-to-set design without threading.
