The movement is a hybrid design: quartz accuracy with a high-beat sweeping second hand that ticks eight times per second instead of once. Battery life runs about two years on a standard 371 cell, and you swap it yourself through a screw-down hatch on the caseback—no press tools or trips to a shop required.

Titanium keeps the weight down to 43 grams for the head alone, light enough that you forget it's there by midday. The dial uses Swiss BGW9 lume for legibility in low light, and the flat sapphire crystal resists scratches better than mineral glass or acrylic.
