Limited-Edition Folding Knife with Four Deployment Methods and Proprietary Lock
Most folding knives give you one way to open them—maybe two if you count the thumbstud and a flipper. This design routes all four common deployment methods through a single lock mechanism, so you can choose based on grip position or preference without compromising lockup strength. The Vanchor Lock uses an internal anchor geometry instead of relying on a liner or frame bar, which keeps the release button accessible while maintaining full titanium scales.
The tree-ring machining is more than decoration: it adds grip texture exactly where your hand wraps around the handle, and the contrast between bright grooves and dark finish makes it easier to judge grip orientation by feel in low light or when pulled from a pocket.

The details
This folding knife offers four distinct ways to deploy the blade: front flipper, back flipper, thumb hole, or by holding the lock button while flicking. The Vanchor Lock mechanism secures the blade during use and releases smoothly when you press the button.
The 3.46-inch blade is made from M390 steel, a powder-metallurgy stainless known for holding an edge through extended use while resisting corrosion. A compound grind keeps the tip reinforced for piercing tasks while thinning the edge geometry for cleaner slicing. Both the blade and handle receive acid wash and stonewash treatments that create a darker, matte surface which shows fewer visible scratches over time.
The titanium handle is machined with concentric rings that mimic tree growth patterns. These grooves cut through the darkened finish to expose brighter metal underneath, adding visual texture and tactile grip. An antique brasswash coating warms the overall appearance.
Each knife in this run of three hundred is individually numbered and laser-engraved on the liner. The package includes a matching anniversary coin and an identification card signed by the designer. The titanium pocket clip mounts for tip-up carry, and the backspacer extends slightly to form a lanyard attachment point with Morse code detailing.

Questions
- What is M390 steel and how does it perform?
- M390 is a high-chromium powder-metallurgy stainless steel made in Austria. It holds a sharp edge longer than most common blade steels, resists rust and corrosion well, and maintains toughness for everyday cutting tasks. It takes longer to sharpen than softer steels but requires sharpening less frequently.
- How does the Vanchor Lock work?
- The Vanchor Lock uses an internal anchor mechanism to secure the blade when open. Press the button on the spine to release the blade. The design allows multiple deployment methods while maintaining consistent lockup strength.
- Can I carry this knife in my pocket every day?
- Yes. The titanium pocket clip is designed for tip-up carry, and the stonewashed finish on both blade and handle helps minimize the appearance of scratches and wear from daily pocket carry.
- What does the tree-ring machining do?
- The concentric grooves machined into the handle add grip texture and visual contrast. They cut through the darkened finish to reveal brighter titanium underneath, creating a pattern that also helps you orient the knife by feel.
- Is this knife legal to carry where I live?
- Knife laws vary by location and often depend on blade length, opening mechanism, and intended use. Check your local and state regulations before carrying any folding knife.
