Skye Large Scrunchies

Standard elastic hair ties work through friction. They grip by catching on individual strands, which means every ponytail session involves hundreds of tiny snags. Over time, that adds up to visible damage: breakage at the hairline, kinks that won't relax, and split ends that start mid-shaft.

These scrunchies take a different approach. The outer layer is woven from long-fiber mulberry silk, the same material used in high-end pillowcases. Silk's smooth surface lets hair glide rather than catch, so the hold comes from compression instead of friction. You get the security of a conventional tie without the structural cost to each strand.

The set includes three large scrunchies in complementary shades: a deep indigo, a soft cornflower blue, and a neutral vanilla. The generous size works for thick hair, high ponytails, and casual buns. Because silk doesn't absorb moisture the way cotton or synthetic blends do, these won't wick oils from your hair or stiffen after a workout.

Silk also regulates temperature, which means less scalp irritation during long wear. The fabric remains cool against the skin and won't trap heat the way foam-core or velvet alternatives can. Each scrunchie is constructed with an internal elastic core for tension, while the exterior remains entirely silk.

This is a functional change, not a cosmetic one.
