Hip Belt Extender

When your pack's hip belt runs short or layering adds bulk around your midsection, this extender gives you the room you need without replacing the entire belt system. It slots into the existing buckle on one side and extends the webbing by up to eighteen inches, so you can cinch the load properly onto your hips where it belongs.

Built to match the hardware standard on most Hyperlite Mountain Gear trail and multisport packs, it uses the same width webbing and side-release buckles you already have. Installation takes seconds: unbuckle, thread the extender through, and clip back together. The connectors are the same sturdy side-release design that holds the original belt, so there's no fumbling with adapters or worrying about a weak link in the carry system.

You'll find this useful if your torso or waist measurements fall outside the stock belt range, if you wear heavy winter layers, if your body changes over a long hike, or if you're borrowing or sharing a pack with someone whose fit is different. It works with any Hyperlite pack that uses one-and-a-half-inch webbing hip belts, though it won't fit the Elevate 22, Unbound 40, Unbound 55, Waypoint, Contour, or Aero models. Because it's just webbing and buckles, it adds minimal weight and packs flat when you don't need it.
