Batch #008: Captain's Crunch

This limited-edition multi-tool brings back the Crunch design with upgraded materials and a finish meant to last. The core feature is a set of locking pliers that hold without slipping, useful when you need sustained grip rather than a quick adjustment. Machined stainless steel components include a scalpel holder, a T-shank holder for jigsaw-style blades, and a bit adapter that accepts standard driver bits. All three are finished with a gold PVD coating that resists wear and gives the tool a distinct appearance.

The black leather sheath includes storage for accessories like spare blades or bits, so you can carry what you need without pockets full of loose hardware. The sheath is stitched and formed to hold the tool securely, and the leather develops character with use rather than looking worn. This is the final production run of this design, made available exclusively through Leatherman's limited-release program.

The tool itself is built from stainless steel throughout, with the same hinge and lock mechanisms Leatherman uses across their range. The locking pliers function is what distinguishes this from a standard multi-tool—they clamp and hold tension, which matters when you're working one-handed or need consistent pressure over several minutes. The scalpel and T-shank holders are replaceable-blade systems, so you swap out a dull edge rather than sharpening. The bit adapter turns the handles into a driver, and the tool accepts quarter-inch bits from any source.
