Chubbies

Four friends started Chubbies in 2011 as a reaction to the men's fashion industry and to the disappearance of properly short shorts. They saw mainstream brands relying on unrelatable imagery and noticed that men's shorts had grown longer and more cluttered with extra features, abandoning the shorter inseams that earlier generations wore.

The brand launched in September 2011 and sold out of its core casual shorts for more than two years. Since then they have expanded beyond shorts into swim trunks, shirts, hoodies, jackets, and a full range of what they call weekend apparel. Chubbies is now part of Solo Brands. Every purchase supports Foundation 43, an organization working to expand access to mental health care.
